Intro

We decided to open this blog to showcase our designs. The photos posted here will be low quality (and with a watermark) but the actual designs are much larger and high quality. Many designs are actually transparent but they can only be posted here with a white background. We thought it would be an interesting experiment to post the designs and allow anyone to comment (they're moderated).

Adopt and Spay-Neuter

Jan tries to put photos she has taken of shelter animals to good use. So our first design post will be on adopt a shelter pet  and also on spay/neuter. We're not going to cover all the designs to date on adoption today.

In this series, she deliberately used dark photos of dogs and cats behind bars because that's how she sees them at the shelter. Perhaps things are different at a shelter you are familiar with, but here and in many other shelters, this is how they spend their usually brief stay.

Jan always feels sad when she sees the animals in cages. Some are terrified. Most beg for attention.  A few dogs curl into a ball.  Cats try to hide in the litter box. Their eyes beg for freedom. She knows what will happen to most of them.

Makes our mom cry. But we all know exactly what happens to most of them. ::Sigh::

We think the designs look good, Jan. We just wish more humans would give a d*mn.

Love it.
I have been to your Zazzle shop and spent time there, but it seems so difficult to really browse the designs there.
Maybe because on Zazzle you have to select a product for the design and there are hundreds of options. It's a bit overwhelming.
I'm looking forward to seeing just the designs now.
Love & Purrs,
Mom ML

pee ess: I just went thru the same kind of what-day-is-it confusion upon learning one of the commentathons was over yesterday. Somehow Thursday was also lost to me. Anybody else?

WE love the new website and it will be fun to see your designs first hand. We of course like the shelter pictures and especially the spay and neuter message.I think I like the color ones rather than the black and white just to give the dogs and kitties a better chance of a new home. But either way, it does get the message across.

Oh it is sad indeed to see them in cages. I think though that for the designs you have done it is such a strong message to raise awareness so that is fantastic. Your designs and message are very powerful, good work Jan.
